Chon-ji

Since Chon-ji is a traditional Tae Kwon Do kata, there is a plethora of information about it on the internet. There is even a whole book written on it available. This is Master Weedon performing the kata:
Here are the 19 steps & stances for Chon-ji:
1. From Ready stance, turn to the left 90° into front stance down block with left hand as left foot touches down
2. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (right fist)
3. Turn clockwise 180° into a right foot front stance down block
4. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (left fist)
5. Turn counter-clockwise (to the left) 90° into front stance down block with left hand as left foot touches down
6. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch with right fist
7. Turn clockwise 180° into a right foot front stance down block
8. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (left fist)
9. Turn 90° to the left into back stance middle block
10. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (right fist)
11. Turn clockwise 180° into a back stance middle block (right foot forward)
12. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (left fist)
13. Turn 90° to the left into back stance middle block
14. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (right fist)
15. Turn clockwise 180° into a back stance middle block (right foot forward)
16. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (left fist)
17. Moving forward, front stance lunge punch (right fist) Kiah!
18. Step backwards with the right foot into front stance lunge punch with left fist
19. Step backwards with the left foot into front stance lunge punch with right fist Kiah!
Return to Ready stance
